Our Client Lady Freethinker Voted #1 Animal Charity in the US!

Lady Freethinker's brand, designed by non-profits designer Studio 77

Earlier in the year, we had the pleasure of working with the American animal rights non-profit, Lady Freethinker. We curated their branding and designed and built them a beautiful new WordPress website.

It was a delight to work with a charity that is so well aligned with our values at Studio 77. All three of our team members are vegan, and one of our directors, Will, has dedicated time in the past to protesting fur and cleaning up beaches in Iceland for the whales.

We were thrilled to find out this week that Lady Freethinker has been voted the number-one animal charity in the United States! Thanks to the amazing Lady Freethinker community, they’ve achieved top-rated status five years in a row on Great Nonprofits and have been the number one animal charity for three out of those five years.

We are absolutely thrilled for the Lady Freethinker team! Though we must admit, we are not at all surprised to hear this news. One of the things that separate LFT from its co-conspirators is that it has a track record of making changes in ways that are unexpected.

Lady Freethinker Suing YouTube for Profiting on Animal Abuse

One of their biggest and most viral animal rights campaigns was when they sued YouTube for making a profit from videos of animal abuse- and won. The videos LFT found could have potentially earned $15 million in revenue for the YouTubers who posted them, and up to $12 million in advertising revenue for the company, based on averages reported by Business Insider.

Branding and Website Design for Animal Rights Charity, Lady Freethinker

We needed to create a versatile brand that worked well for audiences of all agencies. Our aim was to create a bright and bold brand to convey the fierce, unafraid and passionate energy that their underlining brand message has.

We ensured that what we were doing was different to other animal rights non-profits, as a lot of the bigger brands felt a little dated and conservative. In short, we needed to make Lady Freethinker look like the change-makers that they are.
